DNS do te thote “domain name service” ne anglisht qe perkthet “sherbimi i emrave domain”. Praktikisht eshte nje sherbim qe perkthen cdo domain qe shkruhet ne lundruesit e internetit ne nje IP ku pergjigjet nje server.

Kur nje projekt arrin nje fare volumi informacioni, vihet re qe nuk eshte me e lehte te administrohet databaza e tij. Ne rastin tone, Projekti i Infoarkives, (http://lajme.shqiperia.com), kaloi mbi 2.1 Giga informacion. Per kete projekt ne kishim vendosur nje server te dedikuar ne dispozicion. Megjithe sistemin e cache per te rritur performancen apo procesorin e mire, duke qene se disa here brenda dites serveri terhiqte lajme dhe i shkruante ne DB, sherbimi web u be teper i ngadalte dhe po krijonte problem.

Kohët e fundit kam vënë re qe Blog-et shqiptarë po shtohen dita ditës dhe gjithmonë e më shumë ka shkrime interesant nëpër këto blog-e. Megjithëse çdokush ka mundësi të rregjistrohet me anë të RSS (FeedBurner), me bookmarke apo shpeshherë dhe nëpërmjet Twitter, të ndjekësh dhe të hasësh në shkrime interesante është pak e vështirë. Problemi kryesor qëndron se këto faqe janë të shpërndara dhe nuk ka një faqe ku mund të grumbullohen të gjithë artikujt e tyre dhe lexuesi të përzgjedhë ato që i interesojnë të lexojë.
Para 2 ditësh, Zend – kompania që mbështet PHP nxorri versionin e ri të Zend Framework 1.8. Një “framework” është një grup klasash dhe librarish që ofrojnë një ambient programimi.
Tek ShqiperiaCom Shpk, disa nga projektet qe kemi programuar se fundmi jane punuar me Zend Framework (1.3-1.7). Host.al ka qene nder te paret qe kemi nisur me ZF. Pas saj kanë pasuar disa projekte për klientët tanë dhe për firëmn tonë (www.infoarkiv.com, www.gossip.al etj).
Sot perfundova kalimin e serverit ne Debian 5. (Serveri ku hostohet blog,al dhe disa sherbime test ishte per rreth 35 minuta down). Kisha testuar me 2 servera te tjere per Debian dhe ne krahasim me CentOS apo RHEL qe kemi perdorur me pare, jam shume i kenaqur me Debian.
